Multiple sclerosis is a disease that impacts the brain and spinal cord. The exact cause of MS is unknown, but we do know that something triggers the immune system to attack. The damage causes unpredictable symptoms such as numbness, tingling, mood changes, memory problems, pain, fatigue, blindness, and/or paralysis. Everyone’s experience with MS is different and these losses may be temporary or long lasting. There are currently 23 disease modifying drugs, however; there is no known cure.

Bike MS brings us together to change the world for everyone affected by MS. It’s an experience driven by passion, camaraderie and desire to make a difference. From volunteers who help you refuel at rest stops to cyclists encouraging you on the route, we’re all in this together.

The Bike MS community has raised more money than any other cycling event for any other cause. To date, Bike MS cyclists, volunteers, and donors have raised more than $1.4 billion to stop MS in its tracks, restore what's been lost, and end MS forever.
